Patients benefit from £350,000 refurbishment

Patients are benefiting from a £350,000 refurbishment of Fordham Ward at Colchester General Hospital.

The refurbishment includes:

• New en-suite bathrooms
• New flooring
• New curtains and blinds
• New furniture

The work was carried out by East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust and was completed in March 2023.

The new facilities are designed to provide patients with a more comfortable and modern environment during their stay in hospital.

Dr Marianne Robson, Medical Director at Colchester General Hospital, said: “We are delighted with the new look and feel of Fordham Ward.The refurbishment has created a much more welcoming and comfortable environment for our patients.”
